Asset management with Locker module

The IOLAN modular locker concept was presented at the recent Security exhibition in Essen last year. The IOLAN Locker module allows users to manage the registered issuance and return of all kind of devices. Access to lockers is managed via a full-colour touch-screen display with card reader, which reads LKDS, MIFARE® Classic, DESFire® EV1 and Rijkspas cards. Lockers can be opened automatically or a specific one can be selected via a menu on the terminal.

The individual lockers are equipped with a mains voltage and IRP connection in order to charge electronic goods, such as handhelds, quickly. Optional detection of the devices within each locker is also possible. With a wall socket in each safe, all kinds of devices can be stored, charged and managed.

Standardly the module consists of 12 lockers and an operating unit, powder coated steel with a black frame and gray doors; including battery for use in case of power failure. Other sizes, colors and options are possible, always on request.

Via the IOLAN Spere software access definitions of the lockers can be set extensively, for example individual or function-based allocation of goods/devices. Sphere provides also an overview at a single glance of who has which assets. It is even possible to release/lock the system remotely and to combine the Locker module with all commonly used access control features, such as pin code, anti-pass-back and presence and absence control.

With the addition of the Locker module to the IOLAN product range, there are now several options to manage valuable goods: SmartLock (typical for keys and PZI / MAI), Chargelock (ideal for smartphones and tablets) and Keybar (typical for keys).
